What are Classic games?
Classic games are those truly 'old-school,' 'throwback,' whatever term you want to use for something that's as old as your parents.
If you're of a particular age, there are certain games that you would undoubtedly view as classic. Perhaps because you spent hours and hours playing them at home, or maybe they provided a helpful distraction during class at school. There are only so many spreadsheet formulas one can write before the pull of something more fun becomes overpowering, after all. Starting with the quintessential bunking of class entry, we've got the Helicopter Game. Anyone currently over the age of 30 is likely familiar with this one. It was certainly a regular fixture on computer monitors back in my day. Part of the reason is that it's so incredibly simple. All you have to do is click to make your chopper fly upwards and then tap to allow it to descend. From there, you just want to avoid all the obstacles and get the highest score possible. Straightforward and definitely one of the most Addicting Games. If beauty in simplicity isn't so much your thing, then maybe Pandemic 2 is more your vibe. It's a strategy game that tasks you with spreading a dangerous virus across the globe. It's not often you get to play the bad guy, but this is certainly an opportunity to do exactly that. As you progress, you can purchase upgrades that make your illness harder and harder to kick. It's a little dark, sure. However, it's still great fun. Bloons Tower Defense 4 is an absolute staple of its genre, remaining popular all these years later, despite the spawning of sequels. If you're unfamiliar, you're tasked with eliminating waves and waves of evil balloons. Yes, you read that right. Your army of skilled monkeys is ready and waiting to pop the menace that's floating towards you. Okay, so it's a wacky concept. That doesn't mean it isn't an excellent time, and it's undeniably a classic game.
